If you are not able to make your monthly mortgage payments, please don't stick your head in the sand. Do not be afraid to call your lender and discuss your options. If your financial difficulty is temporary, discuss with your lender your options for a loan modification. Maybe you recently had surgery and could not work while recovering. If your difficulty is not temporary, and you just can't make the mortgage payment you may still have options. You will never know what they are unless you ask.
