The Battle of Aiken (reenactment) is upon us! Another one of those great annual Aiken events :)
Did you know that 'The Battle of Aiken (Reenactment)' won the Governor's award for 'Best Carolina Tourist Event'!
What: The Battle of Aiken - Where the Civil War comes alive. South Carolina's LARGEST outdoor drama :)
When: Saturday Feb 21, and Sunday Feb 22. (always the last weekend of February)
Where: Confederate Memorial Park - Powell Pond Rd off Hwy 19. (allow 1 hour for traffic and parking) - obviously it can't be held in the downtown streets!

Tickets: at the gate - RAIN OR SHINE! Adults = $12, Students (6-18) = $6, 5 and Under = FREE!
SPECIAL VETERANS MEMORIAL SERVICE SATURDAY AT DUSK. ALL American Veterans of ALL wars will be honored with at musket and artillery salute.

The 'Battle of Aiken' was February 11, 1865. Union dead are buried in the First Baptist Churchyard. Confederate dead are buried at St. Thaddeus Churchyard.
