Jeff and Carol, popped in yesterday no warning, no phone call, but skiing is great and they decided to drive 2 hours and stop in unannounced. We exchange pleasantries and other commitments required me to bid a short farewell. Before they left we agree to see each other again in two hours I asked what have you seen on line that peaked your interest enough to drive up. Well there is a listing that another agency has (oh no here it comes..they have an appointment with someone else), we saw it on your MLS feed and want you to show it to us, we would never call them first you are our guy.
I was overjoyed not be be crawling out from under the bus, but that was not the best part. Here is where Activerain fit into the puzzle, My clients said they looked into a modular company I had written about in a blog and were impressed, they made sure when filling out the form for more information from the manufacturer that they noted they were working with a Realtor (me) and when the representative called they went into detail as to where they heard about these homes and wanted to protect my interest in any possible project. They are reading and remembering who offers experiance and expert advice.
During our showing that afternoon, another gem was dropped into my lap. My client Jeff, said how did you really convince the abutter to give up a 50 foot right of way to get that subdivision approved? I had written a post on Activerain back in the summer about a creative solution, that saved a beautiful home-site from becoming part of the entry road due to the set back requirements. I was floored, I never spoke to this client about the project or the engineering involved with the approval process. I said who told you about that?..I read your blog, on Activerain he said.
Cement comes in many packages, the best kind forms quickly and hardens to a permanent structure.
