Peter,

Thanks for the post, I have been working on getting more involved in civic activities and the local real estate board. I also think the coffee shop idea is fantastic and will do that this week coming up.

Great and inspiring ideas for new activity.

Nice post, great tips.  I saw several I will check out -- web sites, but Ialso liked the idea of getting out to a coffee shop - for work or not, sometimes hanging out and writing notes has caused people to talk to me. -- of course I have some sort of Realtor recognition material with me also! :-)

Good suggestions - especially the ones about getting out of the office.  Sometimes what we need is to be around people who AREN"T in our business to get a different perspective.  After all, if your area has  7% unemployment, that means that 93% of the locals are still working.

Pete-

Thanks for including Dimdim on your list!  For those not familiar with us yet, we offer free web conferencing/web meetings with up to 20 people.  This includes the ability share slides, whiteboard, desktop, web pages, along with audio and video.  You can even record your sessions

Dean-

I'm a huge fan of working at my local Starbucks.  I'm usually working there a few days a week.  The staff has always been friendly and to Pete's point, it's amazing the people you'll meet.

Thanks!
