The $8000 incentive for first time home buyers can be used to update the home, take a vacation, pay off bills, or any other purpose that you choose. The government is trying to help the economy and the housing industry and those that are first time buyers are the lucky recipients! This is a huge help to the young family who is paying rent for which they get no tax deductions and would love to look forward to a brighter future through investing in real estate. Yes, real estate has taken a beating lately but it will still be one of the safest and best long term investments a young family can make. Let's all do our best to get the word out to these folks and get the surplus of homes on the market reduced and in their hands during 2009 so they get the benefit.
Thank you Obama! Let's hope this is just the first step on a path leading to our economic recovery.
