The NEMO Room

By
Real Estate Technology with Virginia Beach

Here are some pictures of the boys room at the home in Litchfield Manor that we just sold and wanted to share with everyone.  We will miss this room alot because my brother Richard came from California to assist us with various projects around the house including painting this room.

Richard painted this room freehand to make this a Nemo room for Hunter.  And as you know my husband is an avid fisherman so it fit perfectly.  He had even taken the time to paint the ceiling to make it a complete ocean feel.  This was a room filled with memories for us and our boys.

My husband painted tigger and pooh on the wall in my sons' rooms before my oldest was born.

We had a monster truck room; large tire sliced vertically attached to an entertainment center next to a car bed that we beat up and spray painted. We had flags up, photos, a crowd (usually used for sports rooms) it was very interesting. We also had toolboxes as toyboxes and dressers.

Naoma,

Your husband is a very good artist if he did this free hand.  I know plenty of people that would have hired him for such a job.

Justin - I know! Well at least I have the pictures to remember it by.

Keith - I would have loved to see the monster truck room!

Larry - It was my brother actually that did it and it was free hand.  He is an amazing artist and in fact his full time job is building homes in CA.

It would have been about 30 years ago when we did our little boys' room in either Superman or Spiderman, can't rememer for sure!  It had navy blue paint and was quite cutting edge for the time (the olden days...)  Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Absolutely amazing.  My kids probably wish their parents had been a little more creative. What great memories.

We just removed wallpaper from a bathroom in our house.  Under the wallpaper was a zoo scene that the originial owner had painted for her son some 20 years ago.  It was very nice and and perserved very well.  I had a hard time painting over it but got pictures.  You can view them on my activerain blog; activerain.com/brendamoore.

I'm sure it is hard for you and your family to leave the rooms behind.  You will make loads of new memories in your new home.  Maybe you can blow up the photos and make great pictures to hang on the walls until your ready for your next mural!
