hello fellow RE professionals...
now thats its offcially golf season again, i just wanted to share some helpful tips.....
background info: ive been playing for about 5 yrs now... before i got into RE i used to range 2x/wk, go out to the course 2x/wk, but that all changed 3 yrs ago when i started to get into RE (2x/month range, 3x/month golf course)... As a result my handicap went from a 12 to an 18 currently hahahahha i think the main difference is my short game, i lost the feel of chips and putting is killing me these days...
the best tip i can give is what i did last week... for the first time since i started playing i went to the local PGA professional to get a VIDEO ANALYSIS of my swing and work from there... the KEY is definitely VIDEO analysis cuz until u see what youre doing wrong, you will be hesitant to fix anything...
we all know the game is 90% mental... BUT if you are a beginner and fighting the ugly slices that lose 50-100 yrds of distance, THINK about making your grip stronger (that doesnt mean gripping the club tight, it just means turning ur left hand (if ur a righty, if ur a lefty its ur right hand) clockwise a bit... when i first starting playing i had that slice tooo... i NEVER wanted to see that again and since the draw goes farther its always better to draw then fade/slice...
best of luck this golf season
