Open Houses, Softball and a Photo Shoot.

Just another whirlwind weekend in the life of Matt Jonasen.

Actually, I did my first Open House this weekend.  It was rather exciting.  I found myself completely nervous.  Every time a car drove by I thought, "Oh man, what am I gonna say?  I have no idea about construction issues.  What if they ask me how thick the walls are?"  All in all it went pretty well.

Afterwards I went to my Professional Realtor® Photo-shoot.  More awkward than prom photos.  I think the process wasn't so bad actually.  It's the fact that when I smile like a goon I don't normally see it, now looking at my pictures I can only think "I shouldn't smile like that."

Continuing on with the awkwardness, my softball game yesterday was a disaster.  Even though we won, if you would've saw me you probably would have thought it was "Mr. Bean Plays Softball."  Ozzie Smith was probably crying on Sunday and he didn't even know why.

Well, that was my weekend.  I'm glad I did that Open House, it made me less nervous about the process.  I may have a buyer as well (not for the Open House though, that's just ridiculous.)

You are too funny. Congrats on your open house! I can't wait till I get to experience that. Luckily I have a construction background. I am far from an expert, but I know plenty to get by, and I know LOTS of people that I can call and ask questions. Just never be afraid to tell them that you don't know, but you know someone who will know, and you will find out NOW. Always have that speed dial person to call and ask questions to. Most people will respect you more for admitting your limitations and being resourceful enough to find out the answer fast.

I will have the "Mr. Bean Plays Softball" image in my head all day now. Thanks
