I visited my parents' house briefly the other day. I took a few minutes and played for a while with their new kitten "Dr. Watson". I started to wonder about the Sherlock Holmes mysteries, probably one of my dads' favorites it seems. The first Holmes story was published on March 16^th, 1897. It was titled "The Adventure of the Devil's Foot".
