For those Using Videos to promote their business online, this article has some great tips

As technology progresses, we're all being exposed to new ways to market out business that wouldn't even have been thought of several years ago.  One of the most dynamic of these ways is Video Marketing.  There's a variety of software out there that will allow you to shoot and edit video's from you old Video Camera.  Most laptop computers also come with a web cam built in.  They've even developed a handy little Flip Camera that is custom made for shooting quick videos (even HD videos) and easily uploading them to YouTube and other Social Media sites.

I'm probably not telling you anything you don't already know.  So, are you using videos to promote your business?  Video's have a huge appeal to "Visual Learners."  Are you appealing to this large demographic?  Hopefully you've already gotten started.

There's a lot of really creative ways to use Videos.  I've seen Video Bios, Video Home Tours, Video Event Reports, Video Recommendations, Video's Highlighting Stores/Offices, Video Rehab Logs, Video Book Revies, and the list goes on and on. All of these options are great ideas to promote your business, and I'm sure there are many more.

Once you've got your video shot and ready to publish, make sure that you take the time to type out any Conversation, Description, or Monologue that appears in your video.  This is the biggest mistake that I see people making with Video Marketing.  Many great videos are sitting all by themselves on lonely blogs and websites.  These videos are packed with helpful information and tons of "Google Juice" but because the information is only in the video format, many people searching the internet for that information will never find the video.  It only takes a few minutes to type out the content of the video and give yourself the "Google Juice" we all want.  An extra bonus is that folks in offices that don't have speakers attached to the computers will be able to benefit from what you have to say.

I got this idea from the guys at Yahoo.  I always watch their Tech-Ticker segment videos and noticed that the content of the video is typed out to the side of it.  After my own SEO research, it started to make sense why they take this extra step.  Check out their format here: http://finance.yahoo.com/tech-ticker.

I hope this helps you promote your business!
