The following New Home Sales Report Compares New Listings, Pending, and Closed New Home Sales in Johnson and Wyandotte County-from this time last year. Pending Contracts have dropped by 47% in Johnson County, and 36% in Wyandotte County. Closed Sales have dropped by 31% in Johnson County, and 35% in Wyandotte County.
What I find interesting is that sale prices have actually gone up by 8% in Johnson County and 22% in Wyandotte County. I believe that this is an indication that the demand for new homes is changing; meaning, although there may be less buyers than last year, the demand has grown due to lower inventory. This is just my opinion; you can judge for yourself!
