The Perfect Complement to a Sick Day

By
Real Estate Agent with Long and Foster Real Estate VA License # 0225089470

I don't do sick very well.  I am a whiner, but I also have a hard time leaving work alone.  The flu my husband passed along to me had me knocked on my butt the last two days.  And during these two days, there is something that I am so thankful for---DVD box sets of television shows.  What did we do on our sick days before them?

There's nothing like rehashing an old season of The West Wing, Seinfeld, The Sopranos, Entourage.  Whatever floats your boat.  Let's face it, when you are too sick to work and the couch is calling, you may still have enough of your right mind available to not want to be at the mercy of the cable company or movie channels.  I love Superbad as much as the next person with a sense of humor, but every once in a while, it's nice to watch a rerun of a TV show without commercial interruption.

It's the small things that mean the most.  Lotion softened tissues and TV Series DVD Box Sets Got to get some of those tissues!

I love the old TV shows and wish I had time to watch them without commercials.  But not enough to get sick to do so!!!  Glad you're well.

Martha:  Thanks.  I have seen the worst of this (I hope) and am working my way back to health.  Just a little more couch time and another West Wing.  I'll probably be out like a light before this episode ends.

Barbara:  If I weren't sick, I wouldn't be watching.  I'd be working.  Too sick to concentrate.  Not sick enough to sleep all day.  TV was made for folks like me.

Hope you're feeling better. I haven't been sick in years, but I do drink a lot of juice -- grapefruit, orange, apple, and grape -- as well as eating lots and lots of fruits. The few times that I have been sick, though, I get sick, sick enough so that the only thing I want to do is sleep.

JL:  I watch the show and think, "Gosh.  If only Martin Sheen could be President and the outcome of all our problems could be so scripted."  Still, in this age of reality TV, I love a good drama.

Pat:  Even when I'm sick AR is there to pull me in.

Sheldon:  I believe I was .6 down.  The more important thing is I have lost more than 10 pounds since the beginning of the year.  :)

Richard:  There's always cable and reality TV.  That's enough to make anyone want to get off the couch.

Sharon:  Much better today.

Sharon:  My furry ones have been taking turns keeping watch over me.  It's cute.

Gary:  Andy Griffith, Leave it to Beaver.  Those are classics.

Randy:  I Love Lucy was a great show.  They don't make 'em like that anymore.

Russel:  Sounds like it's time for me to start pounding the fruit.  :)

I also don't do sick very well. In fact, not well at all. In fact, you don't want to be in the same city with me when I'm sick.
