IS SPELLING IMPORTANT?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Signature Properties 9082692

This is more of a survey than a question and it is directed to just about anyone...whether you are a Real Estate Practitioner, Home Buyer, Home Seller, or None Of The Above.

HOW IMPORTANT IS IT... TO YOU ... TO SEE ACCURATE SPELLING IN REAL ESTATE LISTINGS?

As a Realtor myself, I know it is sometimes necessary to abbreviate to get the most information in the listing. I am referring to simple spelling errors.

Thanks for your thoughts and opinions!

Judy... I like to see the correct Spelling in all listing materials. I can tell you I have seen all the "Borough's" spelled Malboro..Southboro..&, Northboro and I find that odd (to save 3 letters). I grew up in Sudbury and always get a spell check when that is in a sentence.

Thanks for the post, Steve.  Yeah, living in the "Borough's" sure makes it tough for Search Engine Optimization.  We have to make sure we spell each of the FOUR (you forgot one) "Borough's" towns each way...Northboro/ough, Southboro/ough, Westboro/ough, Marlboro/ough.  Either way is equally acceptable.  My question is: why isn't there an EASTBOROUGH????

So we are finally snow free down here in MA, but it sure is cold!  See you on Facebook!

All listings should be accurate.  Spelling is very important.
I would be very embarrassed if my clients called me to tell me that such and such is mispelled on the listing ... but I hear it all the time from other agents (whose clients call them), and they don't think it's a big deal.  It is.
It's important.  Take the time to get it right, and if you're not sure ... ask!
