Get to Know Bill O'Connell

Peconic River Woodworking was founded in 2004, specializing in custom cabinetry.  Initially our focus was on supporting the builders of high end homes in the Hamptons.  The business started out with two craftsmen in the shop with the owner focusing on the business side.

Since starting up we have rapidly expanded and have taken on projects in New York City, New Jersey, and Westchester, in addition to some commercial work, while the bulk of our work continues to be in the Hamptons.

We have focused on finding innovative ways to run our businss.  We have invested in technology, and through some programs we have put in place we were named as a finalist in the Long Island Works Coalition's annual Work Force Builders Award for 2005.

We look forward to a continued bright future serving our customers.

Are you looking for a custom kitchen, library, office, bathroom vanities, or home entertainment centers?  Could the lobby of your building or your business benefit from the natural warmth of wood? Have you considered custom woodworking? Why choose custom woodworking?  Custom woodworking removes the limitations of what is offered by retail establishments.  Those establishments can offer fine products, but generally try to appeal to a broad market where they can sell in sufficient quantities to be profitable, which typically means a limited number of sizes, colors, wood species to choose from.  If you want to take the path less traveled and expand rather than limit the range of choices available to you, a custom woodworking firm like Peconic River Woodworking may be for you.  A custom woodworking shop also offers a broader range of products.  If you want a bathroom vanity, you may have to shop in a retail store that handles bathroom cabinets.  If you want a home entertainment center, you may have to go to another store that sells electronics with entertainment centers as a sideline.  If you want your lobby graced by rich wood panels, where do you go to get them?  If you work with a custom woodworker, you can get all of these at one place. We are also very pleased to announce our affiliation with an outstanding woodcarver, Greg Krockta.  Greg has been creating fine carved wood pieces for over 25 years.  It creates for us and our clients the opportunity to add something truly unique to their home or office.  If you would like a consultation with Greg send us an e-mail or give us a call.
