The portrait of this child is so interesting and appealing. I bought it years ago and have loved it. The first thing that I think is that this child was royalty, rich and happy. Then I look at the child's clothing. Those little shoes have been passed down a few times. Notice the shoe polish on the soles. The outfit he has on doesn't seem anything more than a normal child's outfit. So many photographs of this building exist. Probably lots of paintings too. But this Pollard painting done in 1997 showed up in my files as I was looking for something else. If you have never seen it you'll love it! I believe it was done to dedicate the White County Veterans Memorial on May 30, 1998. 172 names are on this Memorial. Daughter called me in a frenzy...... "Mother! Mother! Mother! You are on Gawker! I almost lost it when you pulled up on this website! Go to your computer! Fast! Hurry!!" I typed in GAWKER.com and look what she had found.
So there I was! Standing beside a huge guy! I got no recognition, however. All this site did was talk about the dangers of eating too much. (Were they talked about BOTH of us?) Walking through my house I was suddenly blinded by the colors of the rainbow on my furniture and on my carpet and floors. It's sorta like a sign. Lighten up. Be happy. Rainbows are everywhere. I ran to get my camera because after all, blogging about a rainbow could be inspirational if I were talented enough to write an inspirational blog. Then I noticed something. There's dust in this rainbow on my antique chest........ BUT, the dust has the lovely colors too! And how often do you find the perfect rainbow colors inside your home? … (8 comments)

A new foreclosure has come through and it is priced RIGHT this time. How would you like to have a ranch style 3 bedroom 2 bath house for $24.07 per square foot? It has brick exterior, fireplace, large laundry room and fenced back yard. Price is $39,900! Things that will have to be done is replace roof, put in new floor covering, do repairs to soffits and fascia, paint inside and out and probably a few other things that I can't determine.
