The Barns Of Fairview quietly sit in their pastures performing their job every day. They are as varied in size, shape and purpose as the residents of Fairview. We drive by them and most of us never notice them, until something draws our attention to them. I must admit, I am the same way, I have driven by a beautiful red barn sitting in a cow pasture for over 7 years and I never really noticed it. I guess I always believed this charming old barn would always be a part of our quiet Fairview landscape.

Fairview had more listings in November of 2010 over the previous year by 8.3%. It took less time to sell a home by 25% and the number of sales that actually closed were down by 14.3%. The good news in all of this is the 50% jump in listings that received contracts and the increase of 8.6% in sales price.

How is the market doing in Fairview and Lucas? Their are currently 20% more homes on the market and 28% less homes sold over last year. Their are more homes under contract which is good, but the average sales price is down.

The good news... Now how do I know this? Well I went and asked some AT&T crews that were digging up a neighborhood what they were doing and they told me.  Thats right folks we will finally get high speed internet, along with HD TV and digital phone if you like. The package is really amazing.  The bad news... It is initially available along Hwy 5 or Greenville. "Keeping It Country"...that has been the motto of Fairview, TX since it incorporated in 1958.  Fairview is a small town north of Dallas nestled right between McKinney and Allen.  And up until about five-six years ago, the City of Fairview had an ordinance that required all homesites to be one acre or more which seemed to go along with their motto.  Now when you think "small town", you might picture a typical rural town with farms and chickens running about.  However, that is not Fairview.  It may have a few chickens here and there, but you're more likely … (1 comments)

I do, but I don't love needles.  As a matter of fact, I really don't like needles during a dental procedure.  I don't mind taking one in the shoulder or the backside, but not in the mouth.  No thank-you I will pass.  Now this problem started for me with a rough and tumble dentist who was in a hurry and caused me a ton of pain. How much fun do you have at a typical movie?  The lines are long, the crowds are rude, the theater is hit or miss on comfort and the service is at best acceptable.
