john lennon: Happy Birthday John Lennon - 10/08/15 10:13 PM
 John Lennon
October 9, 1940- December 8, 1980

John Winston Lennon was born in Liverpool on this day in 1940. He would have been 68 today had he not been tragically murdered outside his hotel in Manhattan.
From the day he picked up his first guitar, the music world was never the same. As a founding member of the Beatles, John Lennon took music to new levels and led the way for a social and cultural revolution. Whether you agreed with his methodology or not, Lennon’s intentions evoked a simple philosophy:

Throwback Thursday from YOUR Humble Raleigh, Cary, Apex Area Real Estate Agent!
Long ago, before I was a Raleigh, Cary, Apex area Real Estate agent, I played the role of Potsy on the hit show Happy Days. No, really. It's true. They wanted me to play The Fonz, but apparently I was TOO COOL at the time and America just wasn't ready for that level of coolness! Well, one day John Lennon stopped by with his son Julian and was gracious enough to pose for this picture...

Ahhh, memories!

Google Doodles, Peter Max... and My Daughter Laura. Another Proud Dad Moment...

For those of you who've been following my blogs, you might know by now that I occasionally like to play around with Photoshop.
You might also know that I'm a big fan of my daughter Laura.
Well, my dear readers, despite the fact that she'll often roll her eyes at some of the "creations" I've come up with over the years, Laura has taken a liking to Photoshop too! Go figure!!!
This semester at Apex High School, Laura has an Art History class.
Her first assignment was to create a … (73 comments)

It Was 30 Years Ago Today... Sgt. Pepper Taught the Band to Play...
OK, I took a little creative license with the lyrics here. But it was 30 years ago today that John Lennon was taken from us.It was a Senseless murder that took place in front of his home at the Dakota Hotel in NYC.And on December 8th, 1980 we lost one of the most influential advocates of peace the world has ever known.Rest in peace john Lennon. Your music, your message, and your memory will live on forever.

john lennon: Merry Christmas - My Favorite Christmas Song Ever - 12/25/09 10:52 AM
Silent Night. Little Drummer Boy.
The 12 Days of Christmas. Jingle Bells.

Sure, they're all classics when it comes to Christmas songs. But, for me, there is no better Christmas song than "Happy Christmas (War is Over)" by John Lennon. For years now it has become a tradition for me to begin my Christmas day with this song.

Merry Christmas everyone!

On this day in 1980, John Lennon's life was tragically cut short as he was killed upon returning home from his studio in New York City. It was a moment that changed Rock and Roll history.
The musician, peace activist, husband and father was mourned worldwide that day and still is every December 8th with candlelight vigils across the globe.
Today, please take a moment out of your day to listen to the message John Lennon fought so hard to get across to the world.

john lennon: I'm Musically Screwed! - 07/18/08 01:40 AM
OK, let's get this right out in the open before the ranting begins...I love my partner Linda. She's not only my "Real Estate wife" as many have referred to us as, but she's one of my closest friends too. We have a great time working together, hanging socially, and just plain goofing off. We always joke that we're only married through Real Estate. But thankfully we go home at the end of the day to our respective homes. She goes home to her hubby of something like 100 years and me to my house plants and empty fridge.
Linda is one … (22 comments)
