relocation: Golf Course Communities in the Raleigh North Carolina Area - 01/16/09 12:37 AM

While much of the nation is hibernating in their homes, steeped in frigid winter temperatures, here in the Raleigh area of North Carolina, we still have many winter days that are comfortable enough for a round of golf.

In fact, golfing is pretty much a year round sport in the “Triangle” region. There are over 25 public and nearly a dozen private courses just waiting for you to tee off!
We even have a TPC golf course where many professional tournaments are held annually.

The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic, named, and in honor of legendary … (6 comments)

Was it a Nobel prize winner or a world leader?

Who is your idol?     Who is your role model?

Take this little test to find out who YOUR role model/ idol is.

With every new year that comes along, so comes a brand new set of New Year's resolutions.
Go on a diet. Quit smoking. Work harder. Spend more time with family. Exercise more.
These are the top 5 New Year's resolutions year after year. But how many of us really stick to it? And how many of us even make resolutions for the new year.
Year after year, my only resolution is to NOT make resolutions. If there's something I want or need to do, I don't need a special date to do it.
But this year I can … (36 comments)

Another year has come and gone. Fortunately for many of us here in the Rain, 2008 will not be missed. Although, I read somewhere that an extra second will be added to 2008 for some reason....Thanks! Like we need to add one more second to an already abysmal year!
I'm truly looking forward to 2009.
So, without further ado, I'd like to take this time to wish all my friends, family, co-workers and everyone who helped keep 2008 from being a total disaster, a very Happy New Year!
May 2009 bring you all nothing short of health, love, happiness, smiles and … (8 comments)

The schools are wonderful, the weather is great, there's great access to the Research Triangle Park, downtown Raleigh and all the shopping you could ever do.
I've been here for seven years now and except for my local New York sports teams, I don't miss … (5 comments)

relocation: Cats...Who Needs Them Anyway?!!! - 12/10/08 06:26 AM
Cats….who needs them anyway!
That’s what I thought until I rescued Scratch from my local animal shelter. He turned out to be one of the best pets I’ve ever had. And this is coming from a dog guy!

Scratch has been a faithful companion to my little girl, Laura, and me throughout the years. We’ve enjoyed him so much that we decided to rescue another cat, Snowy, from the same animal shelter.
Together they have provided us with lots of laughs and friendship throughout the years.

Last night we were looking at some pictures of Scratch and Snowy and … (32 comments)
