Currently, most of our marketing messages are reminders to connect with nature. We're fortunate our brand, Nature As Neighbors, echoes the same sentiment. We've even had people reach out to us and thank us for the type of messages we've been sharing.  Here is a new video we shared today.

Heritage Trail in Camas, WA -  A Celebration for “The Man in the Hat”
He impressed me from the very first day I saw him, in early 2007, while running the Heritage Trail in Camas. Tipping his blue hat, and giving a jaunty forehead salute, he wished me a cheerful “Good Morning.”  The good-energy vibes radiated from his body
Soon, I looked for him on every run. I enjoyed spotting him ahead in his signature blue hat. That first year, he turned around at the 2.5 mile marker. Late last year, I noticed he now turns back at the 1.5 mile marker post. … (17 comments)

Camas Days are here again! Camas Days - It’s a 2 day street party! It’s a jungle out there, or at least a Jungle Safari in Camas soon. Each year around this time, the city of Camas hosts a two-day street party. And since, Camas days are always held on the fourth weekend in July, this year the town will be roaring with fun on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd.
Food and Drink. Arts and crafts vendors literally line the streets, with one street exclusively reserved for the food vendors. There’s also a street featuring a gated wine … (6 comments)

Help me, I think I’m falling...(Pride goeth before the fall. But what about the - "Pride After the Fall?")
Last Friday morning, while running on one of my favorite trails, I tripped over a tree root, lost my balance and found myself airborne. Since nature failed to grace me with wings, gravity took over - roughly and abruptly. Feeling a bit dazed, I sat up and checked for damage. Sure enough, blood was beginning to ooze through the rocks and dirt on my palm, elbow and knee.
