Living by The Golden Rule is a how I’ve always ‘rolled’ - both personally and professionally. In my first career, that’s how I practiced medicine; there is no difference in applying that same principle in real estate. Imagine treating every client like they're your favorite aunt or uncle. Channeling my short sale days, pivoting with one simple plan was the key to successful Closings for me last month. Over-communication became my mantra the minute we got wind that we may be entering a period of quarantine.
 
I remember the days of short sales well - as though they were just yesterday! No, this is certainly not the same market as during The Great Recession but, one commonality remains critical - good communication is key to getting to the Closing table.

Recently, a question was asked in ActiveRain's Q&A section about our biggest pet peeve in the business. I have to say (and I did!) that it has to be communication.
Communication is key in any business and when you surround yourself with a team of professionals who understand the need for good excellent communication skills, the world is your oyster!

Transactions simply go smoother when working with professionals who communicate well. 
Thanks to Grant Schneider for 'penning' this excellent article. As usual, I agree with him wholeheartedly!
