historic: What's In A Sign?

Decided to stop at the local grocery store last night on my way home in historic Fredericksburg Virginia. When I pulled into the parking lot I saw a sign that caught my attention. It read: PARKING FOR PARENTS WITH CHILDREN I paused for a few moments and pulled into another slot. On my drive home I debated whether or not I should have parked nearer the entrance to the store than I had. Certainly, the people who put up that sign (and there were several more like it) did not mean what they had writtten. Is there such a thing as a parents without children? Parents … (10 comments)
