Palos Verdes homes owners can enjoy and support a friendship walk for the Peninsula Education Foundation, which is seeking donations to support our local Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District. The primary source of income for most public school districts in California, including the PVPUSD, is from the State. However, State support has declined since 2007-08. The Palos Verdes Half Marathon and 10K and 5K run will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019. The Palos Verdes Marathon, which is part of the Lexus LaceUp Running Series, is being presented by Saucony. Lexus is underwriting the costs of the event and will contribute funds raised to Kiwanis Club for their many scholarship programs.

The Promenade Ice Chalet is offering a Summer Hockey Camp and Ice Skating Camp the week of July 29 through August 2, 2019. Camps hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and cost $395/week, or $85 a day. Registration deadline for the camps is July 21, 2019.
