fayetteville arkansas real estate: Is the housing market suffering from “pejoration”? - 04/14/11 11:25 PM

I’ll ask the question and you tell me about your market.  Here in NW Arkansas we are not having this problem as much as the rest of the country but it does rear its head from time to time.  I’m sure as the new batch of foreclosures hit the market this situation will change and we’ll cope with it.  The meaning of (pej’e ra’shen) a worsening; depreciation.  I for one will deal with it and move on.  There will be agents for one reason or another who will turn in their license.  While I would hate for this to happen … (12 comments)

fayetteville arkansas real estate: I want to have “myasthenia” do you? - 04/13/11 11:19 PM

I want to be afflicted with this problem and I bet you do to.  While at present I’m not having this problem as the year goes by I’m optimistic I will be having this problem.  By the way the meaning of (mi’as the’ne e) is muscular weakness or fatigue.  I want to have muscular weakness from all the contracts I’ll be writing during the rest of the year.  What about you do you want this problem?

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Here is old age at its best - 04/12/11 11:36 PM

Here is old age at its best Russ and Sam, two friends, met in the park every day to feed the pigeons, watch the squirrels and discuss world problems. One day Russ didn't show up. Sam didn't think much about it and figured maybe he had a cold or something.. But after Russ hadn't shown up for a week or so, Sam really got worried. However, since the only time they ever got together was at the park, Sam didn't know where Russ lived, so he was unable to find out what had happened to him. A month had passed, … (15 comments)

Kind of like turning the clock back a few years. I liked it. Even though they are Japanese music has no language. The audience really enjoyed it.  After watching it I could not help myself.  Turn up the volume and enjoy the show.  The links is safe as always.

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Be careful of your “loco citato” it may come back to bite you. - 04/10/11 11:18 PM

Ever wonder why your principal broker goes over your contracts?  You know you’ve crossed all your T’s and dotted all your I’s but still they insist you show them your documents.   What they are trying to do is keep you and them safe from litigation.    The meaning of (lo’ko si tat’o) is referring to a previously cited passage.  Should you decide to bypass them and end up in court they will take your contract and refer to the passages you put in the blank portion.  I knew they had a place in this industry and now I know.

fayetteville arkansas real estate: You don’t want to be standing tall using an “antonomasia” to this person. - 04/10/11 01:10 AM

OK sometimes I get crazy finding words to use in these posts but this one is a ringer.  I’ve done this many times but in the line of duty.  These people can cause you a world of misery depending on what you’ve done.  I’ve seen it happen more and more in my former career.  Anyway I bet you’re wondering what (an’te mo ma’zhe) is …  The use of an  title in place of a name, as calling a judge ‘his honor’.  Don’t stand in front of a judge defending you actions.  Don’t let it get that far.  Do your job … (9 comments)

fayetteville arkansas real estate: How many times have you experienced “fantod”? - 04/09/11 12:03 AM

Ok this happens to me almost every day.  Sometimes I wonder if this is good for the old ticker.  When headed to listing appointment thoughts go through the gray matter of what to say and when to keep the old mouth shut.  When greeting the buyer for the first time learning when to listen and know when to speak to keep the client from repeating their wants over and over.  The meaning of (fan’tad) a state of restless anxiety.  Every day starts out the same is this going to be a good day?  Of course it’s going to be a … (10 comments)

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Listen before you open your mouth - 04/03/11 11:36 PM

Little Johnny watched his daddy's car pass by the school playground and go into the woods. Curious, he followed the car and saw Daddy and Aunt Jane in a passionate embrace.

Little Johnny found this so exciting that he could hardly contain himself as he ran home and started to tell his mother. ‘Mummy, I was at the playground and I saw Daddy's car go into the woods with Aunt Jane. I went back to look and he was giving Aunt Jane a big kiss, and then he helped her take off her shirt. Then Aunt Jane helped Daddy … (15 comments)

fayetteville arkansas real estate: A friend knows you’re a good egg. - 04/02/11 11:21 PM

OK so I’ll ask how many friends do you have that knows you’re a good egg.  For me not so many but a vast amount of people know I’m a good egg that’s slightly cracked…  The rest of them know I’m a good egg that has one large crack and is beginning to spoil…   How many good eggs do you know that’s slightly cracked?  Enjoy the day and spread the joy.

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Bully: - 04/02/11 12:39 AM

I know I’ve seen this one before but right now I can’t think of when.  It was sent to me yesterday and I thought it needed posting.  Here the bully gets exactly what he deserved but for me the question is he (victim) had enough.  With that said I wonder how long the American public will put up with their elected representatives before they revolt and fire everyone and replace them?  My Saturday’s thoughts to ponder…  enjoy the video

fayetteville arkansas real estate: The passing of another American icon... - 03/31/11 11:41 PM

ATTENTION… Please join me in remembering YET ANOTHER great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Dough boy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes to the belly. He was 71. Dough boy was survived by his wife Play Dough, three children, John Dough, Jane Dough, and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the Oven. The Funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
Those of you who want to contribute to funeral expenses may send a cashier’s check to his best friend James Dray at the address listed.

fayetteville arkansas real estate: How many of you “doff” at a client? - 03/31/11 12:02 AM

Well apparently Word recognizes this word so apparently all is not lost.  I’ve done this and I’m not proud of it.  Then sometimes you have a client who does this to you and it’s not a pleasant experience.  Therefore learning from experience I try and you understand try not to do this anymore.  The meaning of (dof) to put aside or discard.
In the past if someone called and asked about a home I had on the market depending on how busy I was I might or might not call them back.  How stupid of me just think of … (13 comments)

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Have you ever measured the “dynamometry” at work? - 03/29/11 11:35 PM

This is a cool word and I think you’ll like it.  The question is I bet you do this and not really knowing you do so.  In fact we do it all the time every minute of every day.  Even when you’re along driving your vehicle you will do this.  Are you ready for the meaning?  OK here goes the meaning of (di’ne mam’e tre) the process of measuring forces at work.
Now don’t you do this all the time?  With the broker, clients or family you do this daily.  Now use this word or at least think of … (14 comments)

fayetteville arkansas real estate: How many “clangers” have you had? - 03/28/11 11:30 PM

OK save your time word does not recognize this word either.  Kind of a play on the word (word)…  Before we get started BTDT…  The question is like the title how many times I can tell you too many times to count.  Why just the other day while filling out a listing contract I did this.  Now you may ask what the world does “clanger” mean well I’ll tell you the meaning of (klan’er) a mistake or blunder.  Now how many or how often do you do this?  Enjoy the day

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Did you know you’re a “funambulist”? - 03/28/11 01:31 AM

Well this is a new one on me but then each (almost) post I make is a new word on me.  We do this every day and we have become very adapt doing this.  It’s called negotiating by some people and others call it something else (can’t say it on this forum).  Anyway the meaning of (fyoo nam’byoo list) is a tightrope walker.   Don’t we all walk that tightrope especially when dealing with a difficult client?  Enjoy your day.
