Having a bad day? Try this... Last week we had our bi-weekly office meeting/brainstorming/support session. The topic at hand was staying positive, focused, and motivated and getting geared up to finish 2010 with a bang! There were lots of great ideas (some new and creative, some oldies but goodies) tossed around and shared. Many of us who attended have already made some changes and kicked things up a notch! Lessons from Nanny McPhee - Yes, I'm Talking to You! Yesterday, I took my kiddos to see Nanny McPhee Returns and I thought it was such a cute movie! It was funny, a little sad (yes I cried like a baby), and had a really great message. The story is about a mom with three kids who's husband is away fighting a war. Looking for a fun and easy way to re-connect with past clients? I love to get in touch with past clients and friends from way back. Facebook has made that easier than ever but in a way, it has also de-personalized it. I mean, with one click, we can wish someone a happy birthday, tell them we "like" their photo or status, or even poke them! Another option we have to reconnect is the old fashioned phone call but then you need to have something to call about. How to ask for a referral with out looking like a chump. I will be the first one to admit that I am not really a good salesperson. Coming from a REALTOR® that may seem like an odd statement. I have never been very comfortable asking people for things or the whole "pick me, pick me" routine. I don't really think that you have to be a sales person to be successful in this industry.
