Lately I have been receiving ads from different vendors that want to pay me referral fees for standard maintenance on my client's homes. I got a call and an email from a roofer today. I get these calls from my presence on AR and I love it. This just made me nervous. Have maintenance companies been offering you money for referrals? This is a practice I have never taken part in and I do not plan to do so in the future. It seems to me as if they will simply charge the client a bit higher price to give me … (77 comments)

I'm not sure just how much many of you understand about the devastation of our 2011 drought. It's certainly not your fault and that's not what I'm saying...it's just that when an earthquake hits a part of the world we feel terrible yet still cannot understand the level of devastation. My husband and I are attempting to sell a home in Huntsville Texas on 3.83 acres that was absolutely gorgeous. Flowers, trees, shrubs, green grass, beautiful blue water in the pond and lush and healthy trees and landscaping. Examples:

Shortly after a closing this week, (yea!), I was heading back to the house. Now, living in Huntsville Texas is never dull. We have a combination of fabulous shows given by the students of Sam Houston University bringing culture to our area all the way to REAL COWBOYS. Today, even with all the dreary news of the lack of judgment of our government and our denial of the tax credit and other challenging enigmas in my life, I just couldn't help but notice our signs of spring. This is the first time in many years that it has snowed enough to stick. It was just beautiful. Jason Crouch said it snowed in Austin too. I hope his kids got to go out and play in it.... I've had a really interesting week. I'm pooped. I'm going to try to make this blurb short. I found a dead bat on my porch a week ago Friday night. Hubby and I, out of responsible citizenry, decided we should bag it and take it to the City. We did.
