real estate: Keeping up with technology. - 08/29/08 11:53 PM
Where does it end?  Smart phones, websites, internet access, virtual tours, call capture, Top Producer, and so on - all at a "nominal" monthly fee that can add up to mucho bucks. real estate: Your Fourth Step In Buying A Home... - 08/23/08 02:38 PM
Once you have found a home, the next step is to write a contract. This starts with making an offer on house, indicating what price and terms you want. The Seller may accept your offer, decline your offer, or make a counteroffer. Once you have both agreed on the contract, both parties will sign it. A good realtor is a great asset to have in writing and negotiating a contract and can save you a lot of money.

real estate: Your Third Step In Buying A Home... - 08/23/08 02:35 PM
The next step is to look at properties. From your consultation, your realtor will do a thorough search of all available properties in the location that you want with the features that your want and within the price range that your want and are qualified for.  You will review the list and select the ones that you would like to visit. When touring the selected homes, look first at whether you like the home and if it feels right to you. Then check that it fits all your needs. Finally, assess its condition. Do you need to be in a particular school district?  You will be asked about your financial qualifications. Will you use cash or financing? If financing, have you talked to a lender and been pre-approved? If not yet, your realtor can set you in the right direction. You will be asked about your time frame. How soon do you need to buy? Do you have any contingencies, such as selling a home … (0 comments)

real estate: What is in your Buyer Interview? - 08/23/08 12:40 PM
I like to cover specific areas. The order does not really matter as long as your cover all of them.
Wants & Needs. What are your needs in a home? Beds, baths, garage, square footage, location, etc. etc.
Qualification. What are you financially able to purchase? If financing, have you been pre-approved?
Motivation.  What is your time frame? Are you ready to buy? Do you have a contingency, such as selling a house.
Agency. This a requirement in South Carolina.
