US News & World Report has named Charlotte a best place to live for 2023/2024, ranking the Queen City #8 out of 150 metropolitan centers. The report evaluated 150 most populous metropolitan areas based on how they met Americans' living expectations. Grading factors included value, job market, desirability and quality of life.

Shopping in Charlotte, North Carolina really does offer many options... from the most basic to the most luxurious goods and stores. We've had our large malls on the south side of town for years: SouthPark and Carolina Place. We've had our large outdoor malls like the Arboretum, Blakeney, Stonecrest. In recent years, Northlake Mall has opened on the north side of Charlotte.
