Recycle It Right In Charlotte New Ban On Plastic Bags For Yard Waste In Charlotte Announced
As an update to my post earlier this week about the Do's and Don't's of Recycling in Charlotte/Mecklenburg, comes a new directive from the City of Charlotte Waste Services Department. Effective July 5th, 2021, Charlotte City is mandating the use of compostable paper bags or reusable personal containers no larger than 32-gallons for yard waste collection. (Yard waste includes leaves, grass clippings, small limbs and brush.) The use of plastic bags, including compostable plastic bags, after July 5th will incur a minimum $150 fine for the household after (36 comments)
