condos: Brookside Village Townhouses Westchester County Mount Kisco NY - 10/06/08 01:20 PM
 Brookside Village
Mount Kisco Westchester County NY
Nestled in the hills above busy Route 117 in Mount Kisco is a townhouse community of 116 homes.  Glimpsed through bare trees only in the winter, it is hidden from view for three seasons of the year.
Planned in the early 80's, Brookside Village officially opened in 1982.  Built in the then-trendy contemporary style with angular features, the buildings were positioned so that there would be plentiful green space behind the homes.   You'll find children cavorting and residents enjoying the fine weather throughout the year.  Even in the winter, parents and children are occasionally … (1 comments)

I love where I live - the village of Mount Kisco NY.
Especially at this time of year, when the anticipation of surrounding hills covered with masses of autumnal colors brings back memories of not-so-long ago.
I think of when we first moved here, over 12 years ago.  That first year was exciting & fun, even with the stress of leaving everything we knew behind.  I was ecstatic that we'd moved as our quality of life improved tremendously, but we missed our friends and our old neighborhood in Park Slope where we'd spent the last 13 years.

Well, I've finally taken the big step and am posting my very first blog on Active Rain from Mount Kisco, NY!
I had all of 600 something points after over a year of joining.  A couple of weeks ago I got an email from a local writer who was writing a real estate based article for our local free paper which covers several communities.  He got my name from Active Rain!  To make a long story short, I was quoted in the last issue of the newspaper.  Needless to say, I am giddy because now I've been published!  It was one quote … (48 comments)
