Birds fly into windows because they see the reflection of the sky. I was cooking dinner this week when I heard a loud BAM on the window. I ran to see what happened and discovered a large hawk lying motionless on the ground. As I watched, he slowly began to move his claws and head. After many minutes, he flew a short distance and landed in a bush near my bedroom window. I checked on him for hours and into the night.
