La Canada, La Crescenta, Glendale Fire Aug 30th

It is not every day that you can see a raging wildfire from the window of your office. These past 3 days have been very scary as the fire that began only minutes away from Dilbeck's Corp Headquarters has grown into an unpredictable monster that will not be stopped any time soon. The plume from the ash and smoke was as high in the sky as the Mt. St. Helen's eruption. It is unbelievable.

Sadly, a number of my co-workers and clients are gravely affected and have had to evacuate. I have a client who's home I sold a mere 3 weeks ago and they moved to a lease in exactly the area of the first evacuations. Another client lives high up in La Crescenta in Briggs Terrace and her and her husband have no clue about the status of their home in the evacuation area because they just gave birth to a baby yesterday at the hospital!

A third client was on vacation in the desert and could not make it back so her parents made a 6 hour round trip to evacuate her two cats. My office manager and at least a dozen agents have been displaced by the fire. It is food for thought that in only 2 days we begin "National Emergency Preparedness Month" Not a moment too soon!Huge Plume from La Canada FireLa canada Fire-FoscheckWater dropping chopper

I am thrilled to be able to call the Olympic peninsula home again after over 30 years of living in California.  I have spent hours wandering the area with my camera, trying to capture the beauty here. This video is a compilation of photos that give me a sense of peace. I hope you enjoy! I am thrilled to now be able to do what I love (selling homes!) in the best place on earth.

That is so frightening to see...and we have these concerns about several times each year or more with Santa Ana winds.  I don't know how we do it, but the Californians keep plugging along.

I hope you'll remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!

Best regards.
