Just do what? I don't know. (I'm sighing and rolling my eyes.) Whatever it is you've been putting off. (Exasperation in voice.) Whenever you say (in your head, or out loud) "One of these days, I'm gonna...fill in the blank." Just do it!
I think we all do it sometimes but it's not a good habit. Putting things off, that is. If it pops into your head, you probably need to do it NOW.
I can't tell you how many times I've said, "I've got to clean out this drawer." This is actually how it looks. I didn't empty the trash can in here. I didn't!! This is really what I've been living with. Yesterday I actually went to the post office and bought stamps because I thought I was out. Later as I rummaged through the drawer looking for a sticky note pad, an entire roll of stamps came rolling out from under junk. I swear I looked there. In the time it took for me to make a wasted trip to the post office, I could have certainly cleaned out the drawer. (Look for upcoming photos of clean, organized drawer.)
Same day - yesterday, I was in a recruiting meeting. Great candidate to fill our empty office. I really want her to come to work with us. I'm sure she was really impressed with me (Broker-In-Charge/Owner) when I said, "I know it's in here somewhere." Frantically scrambling though file drawers. What do you think? Did I make a good impression? (Now I'm frowning.)
How did employee files get mixed in with client files? Wait, what are the tax records doing in here?

For years I've been saying, "One of these days, I'll get back to running and get my weight down." Here I am last week-end in my first 5K. I ran. I finished. I still walk upright. In fact, I'm running race number 2 on Thanksgiving day.
I'm the chubby one on the right....But not for long!
On of these days I guess I'm gonna have to buy a new pair of running shoes!
