Were you golfing, my dear?! I'm GLAD you weren't any closer--I think I would have probably frozen in place and not been able to grab my camera at all!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving...
Debe, this guy is around all the time. He looks like he is going to come right up to you. It is a little freaky but, after all, I do have golf clubs in my bag. Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
Rick, that must be it. Certainly not the poor squirrels. I wondered where they all were. Happy Thanksgiving.
Bob & Carolin, I am more worried about the squirrels and geese on the course :( Happy Thanksgiving.
Jane, Golfing is not for sissies! LOL We have fox squirrells that are very agressive as well as crows, otters and last, but not least, GATORS. It is a jungle out there. Just off to golf now. Happy Thanksgiving and much success in the coming year.
I have golfed at Biscayne Bay, Miami. Iguanas as large as dinosaurs, racoons, miscellaneous birds and a crocodile :). Have a great Thanksgiving, Marcia.
We have them all the time in the pasture behind the house. They have come by right at the back yard fence. I worry about Bernie, my terrier because he will chase them and bark.. also have to watch for the baby calves.
You would think the same thing in Los Angeles, Janice. Have a great Thanksgiving.
That looks pretty close! Most people around here now have donkey or burrows in the fields with their cows to fend off the coyotes.
Hi Jane, growing up I was a big fan of Warner Bros cartoons and The Roadrunner was one of my favorites. He was always being chased by Wiley Coyote, but he always got away. So that's the reference.
Jane: Your next mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find a road runner and snap a pic for poor Tanya in Montreal who doesn't believe they exist outside of cartoons...
Carol, I can't imagine donkeys and burros being allowed on the golf course, but it is an idea.
Dan, duh, of course. Now I get it :)
Tanya, I have actually seen roadrunners on a golf course near the Arizona border. They indeed exist and they are hysterical. Now you see them, now you don't.
Hi Jane, That little guy must like golf! LOL I don't blame you for not getting too close, it seems like he might not be too afraid of humans with a nine iron in their hand anymore:-) Great Photos!
Thank you, Mary. I think he does like golf. He almost got hit by a golf ball and didn't even flinch.
Jane, Claude has been out there with a Gator and a Bear...you need to get right in there, up front and personal with Mr. Coyote! Throw him a cat!
We hear a pack of coyotes howling late at night a couple times a week around here, Jane. It sounds really, really scary but I'm not afraid of them, having multiple dogs that make them look small. Great shots and quick thinking to get your camera out! :)
Leilani
They are scary-looking things, Leilani. Somehow they look lonely though. This guy is always running around by himself.
