What is the Sales Technique for This Decade?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with AmazingVideoTours.com

If you want the biggest piece of the pie, stop hard selling!

The word of the decade is TRUST. Generation Y will be the buyers/sellers of more homes in the next 10 years than any other age group, and they will NOT work with someone they do not trust.

Good organizations will be training agents how to build trust, and doing it on Gen Y's home turf - read that - technology - read that - social networks.

I agree that referrals will still be 80+ % of most experienced agents closed sales volume, but if you want a chunk of the future, Gen Y is on social networks for an average of 3 hours every day.

Are you building Trust with them?

Very true.  The social networking is going to remain a standard from here on out, and we all need to learn to adapt to this.

Richard - You're right - It can't!  Your blog is the centerpiece of your social networking platform.  Your blog, assuming it contains original quality content, consistency, and time - will establish you as an "expert" of your chosen subject matter.  Your blog will build followers and over time, followers build trust.

Twitter is a completely different tool for a completely different purpose.  A good social media strategy combines the components of a Blog, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.  If used correctly, trust will be built, and clients will come.  Social Networking is a marathon, too many people confuse it for a sprint.

You need to start a training academy to train seasoned citizens like me on the ins and outs of social networking. All kidding aside you so right. Those of us that do not accept these new realities will be left behind.

Steve, I like you point that networking is a marathon.  It is not easy to get into the routine....but we must spend time every day on it.  AR has helped me do that.  Thanks again.
