I think if you say let's go for a walk, that's one thing but if you say "Let's go to the Beach" that always pumps them up. There's something about finding a dead fish, some birds to chase, maybe a horseshoe crab and sand that makes everything good in the World!

Dogs love the beach. They're always finding putrid things to roll around in.
I bet the temperature of the water doesn't deter Summer in the least! And I love this picture of Summer, too :)

This was actually from the end of last summer, Last time I took her there (just a few weeks ago) she wanted to go right in, but the water is just too cold, and it is a mile hike back to the car.
