Welcome to Cate and Daisy's most excellent adventure site. We will be adding blogs and pictures of our journey across the country in Babe the 1985 "ox"idized, blue Ford F150. Check back often for updates and please sign our guestbook!  www.checkoutmytrip.com/zingare

Stopping at my favorite seafood shop in Bald Knob Arkansas, I saw this truck in the parking lot.  Being an old Art teacher I asked if the decor was permanent.  They replied, "You bet!"

So I asked for a photo.  You know how our simple little blogging minds now think.  They posed readily and handed me their card.  When I visited their website, www.checkoutmytrip.com/zingare the paragraph above was their welcome.  So I think I have a picture of Cate and Daisy and what I call their "Happy Truck."  But it could be Thelma and Louise!

Well, the guest book provides a bunch of e-mails for spammers! Since this is a time for security concerns, I'm surprised folks put their e-mail address in the comments. Guess that's part of the registration process.

Dr. Mike Justis was always urging my mother and her best friend, Eliz. Mason to get a red convertible and toot around all over Searcy, ala "Thelma and Louise"....he teasingly called them those names.   They never did it...but I choose to think they are tooting around heaven in it, as I write.  Bet Winnie is in the back seat.

Anita, was your mother best friends with the Art instructor Elizabeth Mason?  She was in charge of the art department when I was at Harding.

Small world, isn't it?  E. as mother called her, was one of mother's bestest friends.   Elizabeth's granddaughter is soon to have a baby girl and she is naming her  Corinne Elizabeth.

Anita, Mrs Mason was great.  She, being in charge of the Art Dept at Harding, understood that some art classes needed pants.  Therefore, she was the only professor out there who'd let girls wear pants to class....some classes.  Look how times have changed. She was revolutionary.  She bragged about Molly all the time.

Godson Nutsy, they look like hippies to me.  The truck really looks hippie.

Godmother,'

I think that they are hippies too and I do not know what to think about that. I tend to favor modest attire, not hippy apparel.

KW and Nutsy, I just thought of something!  Those ladies could be the remnants of the hippies of the 60's and 70's.  They could have been wandering all over this earth since then.  They are otherworldly....showing no sign of age.  They've overcome age.....and time.  Or they could be Thelma and Louise reincarnated!

P. S. Nutsy.  I HATE that goofy clown suit that you call a rooster suit.
