Habitat for Humanity Spokane Building Project

By
Real Estate Agent with Newnan - Peachtree City and surrounding areas Broker GA: 415935

One of the greatest things we can do both for the community and even our selves, believe it or not, is to give back in some meaningful way to the community.  One of the things I like doing is working on Habitat projects.

The nice thing about Habitat for Humanity is that you can log onto their web site at www.habitat-spokane.org  and select the times you want to volunteer from a calendar right there on the site.  Then you simply show up and the Foreman (Bill on this project) shows you what your task(s) are and you do it.  This particular project is the one on Boone.  You meet some really nice folks while volunteering also and get the opportunity to do something good for others while learning what goes into building.

The Boone project is closer to downtown Spokane.  If you live out North, I think there's a new project starting in the Deer Park area...check the website and get involved.

Scott,

I volunteer at HFH too and I really enjoy it. The people are great and you get to be a part of a really worthwhile group. It also give me a much better understanding into what is involved in constructing a house.

:)
