Two nights ago, our fall colors at their peak here in Warren County Ohio, and a good thunderstorm was coming shortly. Not too many leaves were on the ground YET....but in a few short moments, the wind picked up and suddenly it was like a snowstorm of leaves! Hope you enjoy! Listen closely and you'll hear the wind chimes!
Fall has Fallen,
Liz and Bill aka BLiz
Joan, I'm not sure we've ever seen quite this occurence here before!
Donne, The chimes are one of our favorites. Liz picked them up years ago and they have the neatest sounds.
Al and Peggy, Just finished pushing about 3/4 of those leaves back into the woods where they belong :)
Liz & Bill - I LOVE the colors of fall colors, they are so beautiful. Although not sure I'd love to rake up those fall colors.
Michelle, New leaf blower...got most of them pushed back into the woods after getting home from the day job...would have finished but sprained right wrist about four weeks ago (one of those two soccer games I played...another repeat lesson for me...goal posts hard, hand is not!)...
Bill the stupid goalkeeper
I'd better get out this weekend and get photos. I have a feeling they will be gone in a few weeks here.
How wonderful to hear -- that wind was on a mission! I do very much miss the colors of the leaves and listening to them fall, especially on a cool early Fall evening. Somehow, the Palm Trees don't cooperate with this ritual.
Tish, It was strong! We got some good lightning/thunder shortly after. Thought the folks living in areas without the leaf colors would appreciate seeing fall at work!
We are planning a drive this weekend to see the colors of fall. We get a little of it here in Morehead City, but nothing like you get! Thanks for sharing the video...Very NICE! I love the windchimes in the background! Tanner and I would definitely be doing some leaf pile diving....
Love the colors of fall in Ohio............beautiful video...............something very calming to me about watching each leaf fall.
Amy, The last time I tried leaf diving I learned I need a MUCH thicker pile than I did as a kid! :)
Roger, The colors out the window right now are just brilliant, we'll miss them when they're gone...out view changes to the semi trucks going up and down I-71 :(
Yes it is...one of the few things we wish was different about our home, but we knew that when we bought it... the flip side is, it's very convenient for getting places quicker...there's an exit with a mile of our home, so easy in and out of our place.
Such a great time of the year also here on Long Island. You took the video from your blackberry?Wow...what great work!
Larry and Sheila, Love the colors, and it was one of our Blackberry Storm II phones...the technology has advanced so far in the last few years, truly amazing. The phone camera has as many megapixels as our first digital camera! The challenge is holding it steady enough and moving smoothly enough!
Anita...leaf blower, 200 mph :) Just waiting a bit to get started again!
Bill
The other day, here at the Jersey Shore, the wind started blowing and I thought it was "raining" leafs. But, now that I see your video - it was just a shower.
I like to run the lawn mower over them the first week of December before any snow fall.
For the most part, leaf blower and push back into the woods, although if I'm not careful and wait too long, need the rake for the last bit...just too many for the leaf blower to push!
