Doing Dishes Never Seemed So Good...

After a quick challenge of  "Rock, Paper, Scissors" last night, I was stuck with the dishes!  Tired and grumpy, I dragged myself to the kitchen to perform the dreaded task of "The Dishes".  The glow from the window over the sink drew me in and the dishes didn't seem like such a terrible task afterall.  Loading the dishwasher and cleaning the sink went by way too quickly and I found myself staring out the window in Awe! What a beautiful World we live in! Here's to a wonderful day!

Red sky at night, sailor's delight...always comes tomind when the evening sky looks like that! Funny thing, last night I started washing dishes and my wife stopped me...said she would do it. Maybe pay back since I cooked!

Hi Amy,

I like doing the dishes.  I don't have to think much about it and I always like how the kitchen looks when I am done.  But I would like doing them even more with a view like that!

Amy, I'm glad you notice the beauty around you.  I'm glad you are who you are and I'm especially glad you're my daughter.  I recognise that view!  Funny, I stepped out on the deck last night and called Ted to come see.  The sunset was especially brilliant last night.

I have a friend who uses the phrase, "Blessing and burdens" all of the time.  Here's a prime example -- within the burden of chores you received a beautiful blessing!

Amy, how funny is this.....I was glancing out my kitchen window today, and thought about taking a photo to say the same thing you did. Wouldn't that be funny if one day we called it "Looking Out" and everyone took a photo from one of their windows to share.

Bryant - You know, I get some of my best thinking done while standing at the kitchen sink....

Diane - I just got home from a long and busy day....Now, I am taking the time to enjoy my surroundings!  We have to sometimes...

Cinnamon - Doing the dishes isn't quite the same as it used to be, but I still love gathering in the kitchen after a family get together...My mom, sister and I always volunteer for the special time in the kitchen :-)  The view was awesome last night!

Gary - Today was a true Sailor's Delight...Absolutely gorgeous today! 

Bliz - One of the best things about fall...The most amazing sunsets and sunrises!  Love It!

Lisa - I don't normally like doing the dishes (although, I do love the finished product), but I sure did enjoy it last night.  The whole house had a pink glow inside!

Don - You know....I might be willing to trade in my dishwasher if I could have that view every day.  Today was gorgeous too, but not quite like it was last night!

Susan - It was/is a beautiful day today...Actually had to turn the AC on tho'.  Blue skies, soft breezes...Ahhhh!
