How to fight fraud!

It's never too late or too early to become an informed consumer about fraud!

You should start at home first always point out the too good to be true deals/offers to your kids and teach them to be skeptical about it!

Take an active interest in the financial well being and activities of your kids and your aging parents!

Always shares any and all information's about frauds/scams with your family, your friends and your colleagues, by using social network i.e. active rain,  face book, tweeters etc to help keep them safe!

Also The Federal Trade Commission and the nation's consumer protection agency are working hard to prevent frauds/scams and to provide information's to be useful and helpful to consumers to spot and stop and ultimately prevent and avoid been scammed!

To file a complaint against fraud or to get free information's on the latest fraud and consumer issues! You can visit www.ftc.gov

Or by calling toll free number at 1-877-FTC-HELP

This is just an FYI only!

Thanks.

Yes, I agree this a subject that needs more light shed upon, but most people just assume they are safe. There are many schemes out there and people need to have a clear knowledge of what is sound and what is a scam to protect their i.e their personal information or money.

I appreciate the reminder to explain to children about fraud...

It seems to continually change and take different shapes.
