Blogging just got a teensy bit easier for 2011

Hi Folks,

I have a bit of help to pass along the way for all of you wanting to get into the spirit of blogging for 2011...

I just heard about the WordPress Challenge. For those of you who don't know, WordPress is website that allows content management (meaning you can create and edit websites here) - many bloggers use the WordPress platform for their websites. (Apparently 13% of the 1,000,000 biggest websites are made from WordPress *please note - I read that stat on Wikipedia..... I wouldn't bet your life on it.. but maybe your husband..) KIDDING!!

So - WordPress issues a challenge to their bloggers - to blog once a day or once a week (you can pick) for all of 2011.

Here's what I really care about and where it gets useful to those of use WITHOUT WordPress sites:

The Daily Post from WordPress is "a guide with daily tidbits of “inspiration, encouragement and advice about blogging.” For example - today's topic was Share Something That Makes You Smile. Easy enough to add a little Real Estate twist on that, n'est pas?

How fantastic is that?

So - put your bookmark in that page above - it's definitely worth visiting again and again!

I really need to get a WordPress blog. My last blog platform stopped supporting my utilities.

I'm just hesitant because I hear stories that there are many plug-ins and you can set it up incorrectly if you don't know what you're doing.

Wordpress is a great blogging tool. great place to get your feet wet at no cost. Blogger is another platform, a little different the Wordpress, but also a good place to start.
