Plant trees. They give us shade, fruits, wood for fuel, and prevent soil erosion in the garden.

They help keep the house cool in summer and act as a barrier from cold winds in winter.

The absorption of carbon dioxide by trees reduces global warming.

Trees are the lungs of our world.

Good suggestion, Caruso. With respect to using trees for fuel, few people seem to understand that a dead tree left to decompose in the forest gives off exactly the same amount of carbon dioxide as it would if it was burned. Trees are a renewable resource, a way of harnessing solar power, and their use for heating fuel is a great advantage over using fossil fuel sources or high cost electricity. Besides, there is nothing like the warmth and comfort of a good wood fire.
