So what does this buy for you?
Well, it will buy you a nice home; in some cases it will be move in ready after some paint and maybe appliances. But in some cases, it may require some real work to get it into shape. After all, some of these are foreclosures or short-sales and may have seen some rough times. But in general, you will get a lot of home for the money especially when you compare to prices of just 3 or 4 years ago.
What will this NOT buy?
A turn-key ready to live-in home with all the bells and whistles you'd like to have and that means a pool! The days of a home in Desert Hot springs for $95K that has a pool are O-V-E-R. Same in Palm Springs...... we have great values and they come with a pool and a view but NOT at a price of $175K....... Sorry but those deals are gone.
So its time to buy- YES! And the values are great- YES! But the bargain basement has closed so its time to act on buying a deeply discounted home in a place you'll love to call H-O-M-E as a winter or year round resident.
