Oh My, Was That My Active Rain Comment You Saw?
As I was driving yesterday, I heard my cell phone ring --- don't you hate when that happens? In California unless you are using a handsfree device, it is illegal to use a cell phone while driving. I have never gotten used to the handsfree.
The voicemail message stated it was a reporter who had read what he described as an interesting exchange on Active Rain. He read my comments on a post which was a bit different from other comments left that day and asked if I would call him to discuss. I drafted a quick email to our office manager for permission to talk with the press and called him.
I don't think I'll get any press out of my short telephone interview --- but it made me think. We know what we write on Active Rain can give us a unique voice for our opinions or experiences and can result in a referral from a member or find an agent for transferring client. Maybe someone will call us to ask us about purchasing/selling property or simply ask about an area we service.
And yes, they can call us about comments we make on Active Rain.
