Yes, it finally happened, we have a sunny day here in Beaverton, Oregon, our first real on in 30 days. It is also the latest we have every gotten a sixty degree day. Now, this is the time to go out, get the camera, and take some amazing spring time photos of Beaverton.

But, there is one little problem… Notice the picture below?

No picture, because no camera

What? You don’t? Well that is because despite having a lens cap on, and a UV filter on, my lens still managed to get damaged enough that I had to take the camera in to the shop. It seems somehow when it broke then filter enough that glass got in the lens and the shop was worried about getting glass in the camera as well.

We, don’t know how it happened either. We used it the day before, wife was carrying it, never was dropped or hit anything that we know of, but went to take it out and took the lens cover off to find a bunch of broken glass. So, until next Friday I’m without my camera and favorite lens. (Hoping they can get the camera back before the lens.

Hey Todd -- This picture looks like many I could have taken this past winter.  All we saw here was white for months. That's a bummer.  Hope it's not too much $$$ to repair.

Todd, That stinks!  I hope that it isn't a more serious problem than just a lens!

Todd,
It snowed at our place this morning - looks like saying the sun WAS great (emphasis past tense) was correct. No Little League practice today here. Take care,

Todd,  Couldn't you have drawn a picture for us in lieu of the real thing.  I remember a brochure where you improvised.....

Yikes! I hope the repair isn't as bad as you anticipate, but I have a feeling you are correct. But, you do take some great photos so I am sure you can't wait to have it back!

Todd,

That is terrible - on your new camera, too. I thought you were going to tell us you had a freak blizzard while the snow was out. This is much worse. :)

Oh no Todd, I'm sorry to hear that.  We just bought our daughter a new camera yesterday - it runs circles around the little Kodak Playtouch I bought and it was only $199.
