The Gulf Oil Spill

Services for Real Estate Pros with ACCURATE REALTY GROUP

Seattle Aquarium is hosting a photo exhibit by Daniel Beltra titled "Gulf Oil Spill"

I walked to the Aquarium to view the exhibit and share it with you. The photography was magnificent and the man made devastation is crushingly evident.

Because the photographs are behind glass with lights shining on them, my photos did not do this body of work justice, so I have provided a link to Daniel's website.

Please visit the site below to view this award winning photography, and witness first hand the consequences of the Golf Oil Spill. Check out the video section as well to learn more about Daniel Beltra and our environment.

Thank you Michael~ It is worth the time, to be sure. His photographs are world renowned for a reason!

I was disappointed that my photos of his work were so uninspiring.

Photographers often chronicle catastrophic events in a way that words can only touch upon.  An exhibit like this one has to be rivoting.

Now that would be an exhibit that I would enjoy seeing.  I am heading up to seattle on a business trip in a month or two... Maybe I will check it out!

Hi Myrl~ I was greatly disappointed that my photos could not capture the essence of Daniel Beltra's work! I hope you had a chance to look at his website to actually see what an oil spill of such magnitude reeks.

Judi, my family and I love Acquariums and have visited them in many cities in Canada and the U.S.  We will definitely stop in to see the Seattle Acquarium when we visit Seattle.  Thank you for the link to Daniel's photography, he really is talented.

As someone who lives in Florida I witnessed  the economic devestation this man made mess caused.  It's hard to see in the photos how many people lost their jobs, businesses, etc. Life is going back to normal but the money lost through tourism is just gone.  I still can't bring myself to go to a BP station.
