What is your favorite Marketing Moment? Here is mine in Century City,CA. I had these benches as advertisements at all major intersections. These happen to be on Santa Monica Boulevard in front of 10100 Avenue of the Stars. Near luxury condominiums from a price point of $400,000 to $20,000,000. I had about five of them marking my territory. Attorneys, Asset Managers and anyone who passed by saw them.

I look back fondly at this pictures.

My parents and my in-laws loved it. These were Bench Advertisements in Century City,CA. Did I get business? Nothing tangible, lot's of calls from clients who knew me. Realtors who were looking for me they could conveniently reach out to me. Late night drunks, lonely women. Needless to say I look back fondly at this Marketing Moment.

Endre, I have used a car magnet and while at a gas station, someone at the next pump started a conversation, which led me to giving them my info, they said they were going to call the next day, but never did. Anyway, advertising is hit and miss.

Wow, Endre - I'm sure that was a very costly ad campaign. But, it did give you validity and name recognition, so it wasn't completely worthless. I'm sure that like me, people comment on the spelling of your name - again name recognition, not necessarily business.

PS - the missing kitty photo is up - sorry, but I went to bed early last night - this heat is getting to me.

Endre, I always wondered if benches were good advertisement...thought about renting a few, but never did. I guess there would be two favorite marketing moments for me. The first is when I was associated with a Remax franchise here in Alabama...we had a Sunday morning half hour television show for local listings and agents who wanted to could advertise their listings and get TV face time....people I don't know still come up to me years later and say "hey weren't you on TV"? The other Marketing moments would be calls I get from my blog post in ActiveRain.

Endre, My favorite and one that I need to get back to advertising on one of our local channels that all theycarry is ads.. It's so cheap.. $5 a week.. It's just a hassle.. has to be delivered in person to Broken Bow.. but it's been on my mind lately. The other "favorite' moment was the first ad that I ran in the local paper after I opened my office.. a real milestone!

Michael just having your name out for every one to see establishes a recognition, just as when you put out your Open House signs, people do not know but they think they see your name everywhere:)

One of mine was during summer a number of years ago, we papered the county with a flyer and ads mimicking a used car sales. "Boss Say's, Everything Must Go!" We played up on the sensational cheesey aspects of used car sales ads we use to see on late night television... We got a lot of mileage out of it. Not sure if I could quantify the end result except we were probably the most talked about title company that month. Anyway, it was fun, unexpected, and we got a lot of good buzz from the community.
