Skate Country in the High Desert : Things to do in Tucson
When I was growing up, we used to get dropped off at the local rollerskating rink almost every weekend for a little fun. I grew up enjoying the sport, and never lost the ability as an adult.
Tucson, however, is down to one skating rink in operation now. With the onset of technology and inline skating, I guess it's just something that's slowly dying out - which I think is a shame.
Physical activity is always a good thing, and skating is something the whole family can do. Skate Country offers affordable lessons are available on the weekends for those that are "afraid to fall".
We took the "family" to Skate Country this past weekend for the ALL SKATE session on Sunday afternoon. It was $6 a person plus skate rental. Sunday nights features Family night and a group of six can get in for $12. Monday nights are $1 nights and a great opportunity to get back on a roll!
