Texas Rangers Opening Day - Friday, April 6 at 1:05
Get ready Rangers fans! In case you're still upset about Game 6 of the 2011 World Series, now's your chance to clear your heads and get excited about the 2012 season. The guys will be getting ready to head back to the Big Show for their third straight season, and I for one could NOT be more excited. Granted, my favorite player from 2011 has moved on, but in his place is the new Japanese phenomenon, Yu Darvish.
The season kicks off on Friday, April 6 in Arlington at 1:05 versus the Chicago White Sox. Our starting pitcher for that game is veteran Colby Lewis and with the exception of adding Joe Nathan as our closer and Yu Darvish as a starter, our team is pretty much the same team that got us into the postseason two years in a row.
This year some of my family and friends decided to put together a Fantasy Baseball draft in order to get our baseball excitement going. This will be a first for me, so we'll see how it goes. Let's pray the Rangers have a better record than I fear I'm going to have.
PLAY BALL!
