My Mobile Phone is my Mobile Office!

I "fought" getting a fancy smart phone for so long but when my old phone died several years ago little did I know the great feeling I would have of "letting go" of feeling like I was missing out if I weren't actually at my desk so I could check my email, MLS or any other site.

My HTC Thunderbolt has allowed me to continue great service to not only my clients but to my agents as well. I can connect immediately via text or email....I anticipate what might be needed and actually send documents to myself that I can forward to an agent if my client calls at the last minute with instructions.

I don't fret when I'm on vacation. My phone is as close as my pocket. I'm more laid back now .... and I thought I was laid back before my Smart Phone!

Little did I know how my life would change due to those things known as APPS...

· check the MLS for a home that a client ask about while we are out viewing- I CAN DO THAT!

· Where's the cheapest gas? I've got an APP for that.

· Need a walkie-talkie APP? I've got it.

· My phone is my EKey...and yes, there is an APP for that.

· Need to scan a page or two and you aren't near a scanner?? I've got an APP for that

Snapping a shot on my camera phone means no more forgetting to check the batteries in my camera. I could continue on and on and on but I believe you've got the "picture"!!

I am a couple of weeks away from getting a smart phone. I have researched this more than I do for most things. Your post has helped convince me I need to get going on this. So I hope to have a closing in a week or so and from there it is moble phone time

Charlie: It took me a long time to make the smart phone move and now I can't imagine being without. I resist change (as my partner tells me all the time) but then when it happens I embrace it! When you get your new phone check out the apps (free ones) that make the most sense. I feel too many folks are APP HOARDERS and don't use most of them.

Hi Gwynn, I love my Samsung Droid Charge too. It does all these Apps that you have mention, and I am not sure what I would do without it. It great being Mobile.

Jerry: I love my Droid too....and apps are fun but you certainly can get carried away when visiting the App Store. I don't play games on my phone as I just don't have time - it is my mobile office and work I will be doing.
